As you may have noticed I took a bit of a hiatus from Bloging. Busy times. But, now I’m back! Really.

The last few months have been spent finishing up my book, The Thrive Diet. It launches in Canada on March 24th. As far as the US and UK, those publishing rights are being shopped around by my Canadian publisher, Penguin. Once I know US and UK launch dates, I’ll pass them on.

The Thieve Diet “place holder” site is now up. www.thrivediet.com. Full version to come in March.

Over the course of my next few entries, I’ll provide specific details for each of my talks and appearances. For now, here’s a rough guide:

2007 is shaping up to be a busy, perhaps even monumental year. Not just for me but for G Living and the “G” movement in general. For us all.

For me, it starts with the event that will launch my Canadian book tour in Montreal. I’ll be speaking at Youth Action: A YOUTH SUMMIT ON CLIMATE CHANGE. The Thrive Diet includes a chapter called The Thrive Diet and a Healthy Environment. It details the connection that food, its production, processing and delivery has to the environment. It explains how The Thrive Diet (a plant-based one) is environmentally superior to animal-product-rich ones. Since the food business and industries directly linked to it use more energy, and therefore oil, than any other industry, switching to a plant-based diet is the greatest thing each of us as individuals can do to help slow global warning. This is what my talk will be about.

This conference is developing into a high profile event since Al Gore and David Suzuki will each be making a speech and attending the fundraising dinner. Proceeds from the dinner will go to the David Suzuki Foundation to help fund environmental causes. Rumor is that Canadian Prime Minister Steven Harper will also make an appearance.

From there my book tour will take me to the Ottawa area, from March 26th to April 5th. During this time I’ll be giving talks and doing book signings in bookstores, health food stores and public places. I’ll get the schedule up as soon as I get it. From Ottawa it’s on to Toronto and surrounding area. Same as with Ottawa, I’ll be busy with book-related events.

From there, it’s on to Washington, DC to present an award at the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) Art of Compassion Gala. It will be my first time attending, so I’m looking forward to that, based on its reputation as a first-class event.

Then, on April 15th, I leave for London to officially launch Vega in the UK. I’ll be speaking on April 16th at Natural Products Europe. I’ll spend about two weeks over there getting things set up and giving talks, etc. The UK Vega site is now up: www.vega.uk.com

Late April it’s back home to Vancouver; continuing on with the Canadian book tour.

In May, I’ll be in LA to work on a project with my good friends Burke Bryant and Tim VanOrden. Burke is an amazing raw food chef, fitness guru and an accomplished actor.

This year he’ll be hosting a new show called Reality Racing: The Rookie Change. Also, Burke landed another huge gig; he’ll be hosting NASCAR in Florida! 90 million views! Congratulations to Burke on that.

Tim is an elite raw-food athlete who started Running Raw. He is in the process of making a documentary about raw foods and their ability to significantly raise athletic performance. Which, personally I have found to be true. Tim’s constantly-improving performance is also an indicator of this. More details to follow.¦

Well, that’s all for now. Thanks for living “G”
Brendan

By the way, I finally gave in and got a myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/brendanbrazier

I have to thank you Brendan for your new book, “The Thrive Diet”. For the past year I have been exhausted and violently ill due to poor diet, but my mom bought your book 2 weeks ago, and every recipe that I have made has been DELICIOUS! And the best part is that I’m feeling better and have actually been able to work a full week rather than a couple of days here and there. Again, thank you so much and I look forward to seeing you on ALIVE!
