Now if you are a guy or a Monkey like myself, you start to feel a little left out of the whole G Fashion movement. It just seems all the designers are focused on women and even the big brands don’t have much to offer in the organic for men department. So when I saw that Timberland was selling Organic Jeans for men, I had to tell someone, so I am telling you. Now, I am not a huge fan of Timerland or anything, I guess they are fine, but the organic part is very rare and these are also on sale for only $44.99, sounds like a steal. I do question how organic they are, because after some research I found another Timberland Jean with only 6% organic cotton and 94% chemical cotton. Hmm. Maybe I should call Macy’s and see how much is Organic.
Okay this is great, George Clooney is going to drive yet another all electric car. We and other sites, like Ecorazzi, where I saw this post, informed you that he already has 2 electric cars that we know of. He was the first person to be named to own the new sexy Telsa Roadster, which we featured on G Living Live at the L.A. Auto show. George is Really Going all G.
The modern candle by Tayo design studio. It’s a 1 watt LED battery powered light, which comes with 4 color filters. Price $59. First lets point out the obvious, they are pretty damn cool. I could see my house or office glowing in their light and be pretty happy. They have a clean sexy look to them, which completely matches the G lifestyle. Now if they would build in a Piezo panel to make them self charging, or at least a rechargeable battery built in, I would like them even more. Continue Reading / Additional Photos / Videos
(via fabulouslygreen) I’ve fallen hook, line and sinker for these flirty, fashion-forward tops by Supayana. Yana Gorbulsky is the designer phenom behind this self-proclaimed line of vintage-modern streetwear. A Brooklynite by way of Moscow, Yana learned to sew trendy outfits for her dolls and stuffed animals as a little girl in Russia. She moved on to fashioning pieces for herself, then selling limited editions on eBay every Tuesday (catch her weekly auctions here!), to selling nationally in celeb-favorites like NY-based Girl Shop boutique or online eco-boutique Sodafine.

First thing that caught my eye was the beuatiful rich color finishes on these bowls. Yes they are bamboo, but no they are not crunchy. They would fit in any highend Mahattan Loft. The second and way more important paor to of the ekobo story is that they have this amazing openess about the process of design and production. They work with artisans from villages who work locally using old world trade crafts to produce amazingly modern products.
Check out their video on their site, showing the entire process, from cutting down the bamboo too, making the bowls. ekobo.org
The Hundred-Year Lie is a book by former Wall Street Journal investigative journalist, Randall Fitzgerald. I came across this book and had to share about it. After I read it I will post a review of the book. What I like about the idea of this book is that it discusses the onslaught and history of the chemical revolution and what it is doing to the health of people, animals and the earth, from the larger time-span perspective.
The Munich-based company is promising “sustainable mobility and sheer joy of driving,” citing the car’s 260 horsepower, 12-cylinder engine. The Hydrogen 7’s standard combustion engine has been adapted to run on both liquid hydrogen and regular gasoline as well — and tons of it. The company says the car will consume an average of 13.9 liters (3.7 gallons) per 100 kilometers (roughly 17 miles per gallon) using regular gasoline and a whopping 50 liters to drive the same distance when fueled by hydrogen.
Today we look at another Pre-Fab Modern home option, this one by the Architecture Firm, Michelle Kaufmann Designs. The house is the Glidehouse, which runs about $185 to $250 per square foot. This is a mid-range price, compared to some of the other Pre-Fab options we have looked at. Looking for a unique looking chandelier? Great, Stuart Haygarth has one just for you. Specializing in recycling odd things from around the house or a party or two. Here is his Millennium Chandelier made of 1,000 exploded Party Poppers collected (on 01.01.00) after the millennium celebrations in London. Each popper is suspended on a line from a platform above. The sculptural shape sways and moves like an organic form when hit by a breeze of air. Although this original light is a “one off” piece due to the narrative it is recreated using new party poppers. The multi-colored type is created from blue, green, red, yellow and white poppers. There is also a black edition created purely from black poppers.
HADASS KANTOROWICZ is on the fence. “I eat less meat than I used to, said Ms. Kantorowicz, a self-described tantric healer who stopped in last week at Organic Avenue, a vegan general store in downtown Manhattan. “I’m definitely a lot more conscious than I used to be. While she appreciates the virtues of a meat-free diet, she stops short of embracing a vegan way of life, one that would ask her to forsake a croc-embossed bag or patent leather pumps. “And I’m not ready to wear hemp, she confided.
