Fashion Trend: the Skinny Black Pant

Posted By G Living Staff Monkies On July 23, 2006 @ 5:18 pm In G Living | No Comments

Being a G style fashionista doesn’t have to cost more than being a traditional fashionista. Take for example, the tapered pant. I was taken back when I saw the first tapered pant come back into style. Now they’re everywhere, and I’ve certainly hopped on the bandwagon–G style.

When designer Anna Cohen showed me the first sample of her eco-friendly skinny black pant, I was stunned by her brilliance. Not only are they created using mill end fabric saved from the waste stream, they are also a great stepping stone into skinny pant wearing. We see fashion victims all over L.A. You know what I’m talking about: the gals who wear something once only to discover the next day it’s gone out of style. A wasteful, G fashion faux pas. Not so with the Anna Cohen skinny pant. The snaps at the bottom allow for either a tapered or straight leg look. A pant that will survive seasons….

Anna Cohen gets major G points for using surplus fabric, manufacturing her collections locally, creating long-lasting and high-fashion styles of high quality. Having worked as a designer in Italy for Max Mara, Patrizia Pepe, Guess and Binicocchi, Anna understands how to design a classic garment. This piece is a quintessential basic: you gotta have the black pant.
