G Monkie’s New A2B Electric Bike by Ultramotor

I am writing a full post about my new A2B Ultramotor electric bike later this week, but for now here are some images. I decked the bike out with tons of bags, lights and even a wagon. My idea is to use this as my main vehicle, and I am a SUV kind of guy, so this is my SUV electric bike.

My Bike is made by Ultramotor Wagon by Wike Wagon is a custom version of the garden wagon. This is my way of going green. Tons of photos after the jump.

Hello, good thing for living in city!)
Can you say, what is the material wich covers wagon (not tent)?

Any truth to forum postings I see saying the A2B’s motor is problematic? I read that some have had to have them replaced a couple times and also the battery loses charge rather early. Still others metion the rear fender rubs against the wheel and have modified it. One guy said his rear fender got damaged by the secondary battery hitting it. Any problems with your ride? You seemed to have owned it for a while so would probably know the kinks if any from everyday real world use. Thanks for any insights.

Richard, I am actually thinking about adding a solar panel, but I am not sure if I can charge and ride at the same time? I will need to ask the guys at ultramotor. Here is the panel I am thinking about buying. http://tiny.cc/3pDM3

  4. I like bike wagon but what you need is solor panel for the top of the wagon to recharge the bike. You could be off the grid.

I use the bike all over Venice, Marina Del Rey and Santa Monica with no problems at all. I can pack the trailer and the bike really doesn’t even notice it. The only time I need to assist the motor by peddling is if I am going up a steep hill from a stopped position. My only wish there wasn’t a law to regulate the speed to 20mph. Another 10 miles per hour would be great. You would be able to keep steady with most traffic, which to me would feel safer.

Nice looking rig, and functional. You did a great job “spiffin’” it up. How about making the eyes of the back of the trailer figure light up, or better yet flash.

How’s it the bike pull with the trailer loaded up with hwatever you put in it? It is flat where you’ll be using it most of the time?

Anyways, I want one! Great job.
