Just what does the future have in store for today’s youth? Well, if Chevy has their way, the kids of today will end up the green grownups of tomorrow.
Given what the minds of today’s kids are fixated upon, what better way for Chevy to reach out and promote green living than through the young stars of “Hannah Montana”, “High School Musical”, “Desperate Housewives”, “That’s So Raven”, “Bratz”, “Kicking and Screaming”, “Cory In The House” and “Wizards of Waverly Place” (don’t worry, I had to imdb those last few as well)…
Held at Disney Studios and featuring a performance by the Jonas Brothers, “Chevy Rocks The Future” intended to educate kids on ways to prolong the life of the planet. And judging from the above clip, some of these youngsters have a lot to learn. One adorable tyke said doing his part involved conserving water by drinking a minimal amount of it. Another expressed an interest in a car that ran on ranch dressing or vinaigrette, so he could lick it clean.
But hey, you gotta start somewhere, right? And if today’s kids are anything like I was many decades ago, they’ll listen to their favorite stars and do their best to emulate them. Which is good for all of us. Because when I’m old, these kids will be in charge.
Let’s just hope they don’t start licking cars…
