Juli Novotny has joined G Living as a regular contributor to Green Chefs and our G Living Editorials. Juli will also be joining us on G Living Live in upcoming shows and demonstrating how she makes her famous raw cookies!
Juli Novotny is the Founder and President of Kookie Karma, my favorite raw food cookie. These healthy cookies are gaining popularity with health-conscious crowds. They are well stocked and in high demand at Whole Foods and many other organic food grocers. Some of the flavors include Cherry Cashew, Banana Bread, Lemon Fig, Carob Truffle and Granola Bar.
Juli started the company herself several years ago making the cookies with just a few flavors. She created the cookies from spending hours in her kitchen experimenting with raw ingredients. Now she has a team of 6 making them out of their own commercial kitchen with over 8 flavors and a new line of raw cereals and crackers.
Juli is also studying for her master’s degree in holistic nutrition. In addition to her passion for good food and health, she also has a wide array of interests in graphic arts, architecture and interior design, art and traveling, and of course all things G! Like everyone here at G Living, she loves the clean style and technology of contemporary green living. After finding G Living online, Juli loved the site and wanted to be part of it and share her G knowledge and passion for modern green.
Here’s Juli on her excitment of finding G LIVING (via Kookie Karma Blog):
“Live foods and green living meets the hip and modern world? You mean you can actually be health-, environmentally-, and socially-conscious while still smelling clean and looking stylish?
Phew! I thought it would never happen. I have two favorite adjectives — MODERN and GREEN! Unfortunately, for a long time these two words were given little attention in the world of architecture, fashion, furniture, decor, and just plain everyday life. (please note: the ipod speakers above–a perfect example of green meets modern world).
When searching online for “green modern furniture” one day I came across this blog and became overwhelmed with emotions — curiosity, joy, amusement, relief (maybe a little jealous at how awesome their blog is). It gets even better — I soon realized that it’s not just a blog but an interactive web site, a green marketplace, TV show, forum, celeb gossip column and magazine all in one! A very useful yet unique aspect of the web site is the Green Encyclopedia.
A very cutting edge aspect of the site is the TV Show which can be viewed live FOR FREE if you subscribe. Check out some shows here. Needless to say — GLiving.com is the ultimate guide to a green yet stylish lifestyle. It defines One-Stop Reading!”
