Sur La Table is having a sale on the L’Equip R.P.M. Blender. Of course it won’t last, but wherever you can find to pick one of these up they are a great powerful option to use for the GreenChef Recipes and blending your morning smoothies and shakes. It has a 900-watt motor, with variable speed control from 500 to 20,000 R.P.M.s. Don’t let the price fool you, this is a very high power and high speed blender with a commercial-grade stainless steel blade and brushed metal base. It comes with a 6 year warranty and is one of the best looking high speed blenders out there. Most of the high speed blenders while powerful and extremely useful are not very attractive, they are usually bulky and ugly. This would look good in any G Kitchen.
I love my Ktec blender and I believe it is the most powerful consumer blender on the market. Just watching the Will it Blend videos you can see how powerful it is and that it will blend and process some of the hardest materials. However, most of the time I just simply don’t even need that much power anyways. It’s nice to have, but when you are just blending smoothies and soups and batters etc. it’s not always needed. I often never use the highest settings or the highest speeds on my Ktec. I have not used this particular blender before but I know that L’Equip is a high quality company and they have great juicers with a long standing reputation in the industry. I can’t recommend this blender personally since I haven’t used it, although I used to own the Juiceman Blender which was also a 900 Watt high powered blender with a 1 HP motor. It was another $100 blender and it was really ugly and only came with a crapy 1 year warranty. However it always got the job done. Not as fast as my Ktec but it worked. It could crush ice and grind coffee and everything you could need to do in a high speed blender. So, if you are not ready to invest $300-$500 in one of the highest end blenders out there, this is a very good starter blender to upgrade to. Not that you can’t do most things in a regular blender, but for the tougher tasks it really helps to have the power and speed of one of these. Or you might get lucky and win this month’s Free G – the $400 Ktec Blender! Good luck!
