John Paul Young’s 1978 classic “Love Is In The Air” may smack of sentimentality, but it’s core message remains timeless. On February 29, 2008, LOVE IS IN THE AIR will jostle for space with other pollutants in Los Angeles. Located on Third Street in West Hollywood, ethical boutique Avita Co-op plans to host to the Eco-Luxe Bridal Salon – a stylish bridal event and the first ever of its kind that promises to bring together green wedding experts with the socially conscious bride and grooms to learn about the latest trends in glamorous green weddings.
For anyone who drives a hybrid, eats organic or shops vintage, marrying green is the next logical step. “Future newlyweds will find sustainable solutions for everything from the ring, the invitations, photography, catering, and hair and make up to the honeymoon.” Attractions include a salon-style fashion show, complimentary mani/pedis from Veda Organic Spa and make-up tips from supermodel Josie Maran.
Proceeds from LOVE IS IN THE AIR will go to the Coalition for Clean Air – a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring clean air to California., So come on lads, drop to one knee and propose to your honey with some (blood-free) bling. It’s good for the environment, and that of the planet as well.
