My Monkie loves his bananas. He practically eats one everyday. First thing in the morning, usually for his breakfast, along side his precious espresso. I know, not the best way to start the day. But, you see, Monkie immediately gets up and starts to work. Breakfast is not the first thing on his mind. But, being who I am and we are together, I think about it a lot. How important breakfast is to give my Monkie energy, as he starts his day. And thus, this banana loving shake was born… :)

This looks very yummy! I love walnuts, bananas, and dates, so I am sure this is a winner.

Is there a reason the recipe ingredients are in boxes that we can’t copy and paste to a file? It makes it hard to save the recipe to the computer to make it.

    Thanks, Nancy

So, 1/2 a cup of walnuts is equal to 1-1/2 cups of almonds?

  • Aria

yep. Walnuts are much richer and higher in oils then almonds…just remember the more nuts you use the richer your milk will become…

I kinda remixed this by mixing soy milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon and mango. DELISH!

Thank you for sharing your smoothie recipe. Whenever I use cinnamon in a recipe, I also try to implement honey as well. Together these benefit our health in so many ways. However, I may then have to adjust another ingredient to compensate for tha added sweetner.

I love the pictures with your article. Great Job.
