  • Rice

  • Liquid

The liquids required to make rice pudding are water and milk. Any milk will work, although it gets creamier as the milk increases. You can use unsweetened non-dairy milk if you want to go dairy-free. The starch released from the rice creates a creamy texture when combined with milk.

  • Sugar

You can freely play around with liquid sweeteners or brown sugars. Start with a few tablespoons and add more to taste.

  • Salt

A tiny amount of salt will bring out all the flavors you need.

  • Flavor

The beauty of rice pudding is that it can be flavored according to your preference. You can use several things like chocolate, pumpkin spice, and even fresh fruits.

  •  Low Heat

One of the critical elements of making rice pudding is cooking under low heat. Rice pudding should not boil and must be strong enough for the starch to break.

  • Stir Regularly

Stirring the mixture is also recommended in making hour rice pudding. Stir every 3 to 4 minutes to achieve a smooth texture.
